Awesome Things #3: What is a Weekend?

Welcome dear readers to Vol. 3 of the newsletter.

During the lockdown, it seems like one day seamlessly blends into the next (what is a weekend?). We’ve settled into our weird routines. We’re all now (finally) wearing masks to go to the store, we sanitize our groceries, and our hands have been washed to the bone.

The saddest part is that we’re now heading into May, one of the best months of the year. The weather gets better, outdoor events start picking up (plus, my birthday!)

Instead, each day I cross more events off from my calendar.

It sucks.

Yes, it will end.

Eventually.

But, I still want to know: who the #$@k is buying all the toilet paper?

Housekeeping:
+ The most opened link last week –  by a landslide  – was the link to Supercook. I know I have a lot of foodie friends on the list, so maybe I’ll increase the number of food links.

+ Sharing: Some of you asked what the best way to share this with someone. Until I get a website up, send them this link, I’d appreciate it!

As always, reply to this email if you have any ideas for the newsletter or just wanna say hi.

Here’s this week’s ‘Awesome Things’:

+ “A white 2019 Audi A8 L sedan with extra fuel tanks in the trunk pulled away from a Midtown Manhattan parking garage late last Saturday night. A driver on a high-speed mission aimed the car west and hit the accelerator. Averaging more than 100 miles per hour over nearly 3,000 miles of the nation’s epically uncrowded highway system, the car arrived at an oceanside hotel in Redondo Beach, Calif., less than 27 hours later.”
